Redbird AMS
Cockpit Specific Simulation for Advanced Training
The Redbird AMS is a full motion, highly immersive, cockpit-specific, FAA certified Advanced Aviation Training Device for turbine aircraft. The AMS utilizes the core technologies we pioneered in the MCX and FMX to deliver accurate and powerful training at a fraction of the cost of comparable devices.
The AMS starts with our electric motion platform and wrap-around visual system, then we add a highly accurate avionics emulation and a full complement of true-to-life control hardware. This combination of our proven core technologies, customizable avionics, and cockpit configurations gives the AMS a very attractive training value proposition and a quick return on investment.

When the Details Matter
There’s a big difference between teaching a new instrument student the ins-and-outs of flying an ILS approach and type-specific training in turbine aircraft. Transition, initial, and recurrent training in complex aircraft demands a device with a level of accuracy in avionics, systems, and control simulation that has historically come with a seven-figure price tag. That’s where we disagree with the status quo: highly accurate training devices don’t need to be multi-million dollar machines that only a few large operations can afford.
Smart Design, High Training Value
We designed the Redbird AMS to use our low cost simulation technologies in combination with customizable, true-to-life components where they’ll have the most training impact. This yields a very high-value training device for turbine aircraft at a price point that opens up this lucrative market to a wide range of flight training providers.
While we offer a range of popular turbine aircraft configurations, the Redbird AMS can be fully customized to meet your training needs. Our engineering and design teams will work with you to define your requirements and move your simulator from concept to design to reality at a fraction of the cost of comparable devices.
Motion For Everyone
The Redbird AMS comes equipped with our innovative, 3-axis, electric motion platform. This one-of-a-kind system provides effective motion feedback for yaw, pitch, and roll. The system is clean and quiet enough to operate in a small classroom, but robust enough to stand-up to years of hard use in a large professional pilot academy.

Loggable Time, Valuable Training
We are firm believers in simulation-centric training and we know the value of the AMS far outpaces the loggable hours, at the end of the day, we all want credit for our work. That’s why we made sure the AMS can be certified in just about any country. The FAA has approved it as an Advanced Aviation Training Device, it meets the requirements for EASA FNTP qualification. Want more details about certification? We’ve got you covered.

For the legally minded, you can download the full warranty document. For the rest of us, we summarized the high points:
This simulator includes a warranty against defects in material and workmanship that starts on the day you take delivery of your new simulator and ends one year later. Basically, if something broke because we didn't built it correctly, we'll fix it or send you a replacement. This doesn't cover normal wear and tear, modification, acts of nature, or other stuff that's out of our control.
Additionally, we also provide one year of free product support that includes:
- Software and database updates
- Part repair or replacement
- On-site support for US customers
- Phone and email support for all customers
- Remote diagnosis for all customers
- Access to our online knowledge database

Redbird Insight - $4,995
Whether you’re a student pilot or instructor, Insight provides valuable information to enhance the flight instruction process. With Redbird Insight, an instructor can monitor a training session from outside the simulator. They can view the flight from a variety of angles, both inside and outside the aircraft and record the flight for playback during a debriefing session.
Insight integrates with the Redbird line of flight simulators to render the outside view of the aircraft, a live video feed from the inside view of the cockpit and cockpit instrumentation onto an external display. Key aspects of the flight can be immediately reviewed on the Insight screen after a flight is completed by using DVR-like controls on the Insight viewing station.
Redbird Insight Includes:
- Stand-alone computer with software pre-installed
- Live video cockpit camera
- Automatic flight recording and playback
- Optional viewing screen and cabling can be added for $600
Redbird Cygnus - $599
Cygnus allows you to use any aviation or navigation apps running on your Apple iOS device while connected to any one of a wide range of flight simulation software products.
